Dear Parents and Students,
We'll leave soon for our first Holiday break of the fall - Thanksgiving. I wanted to send the current plan for our finals in December. Teachers will be giving finals during the final week of December and students should plan to attend each day of finals. At MHS we use midterm and finals data to inform our instruction and determine how well students have learned. These are our summative assessments and they are composed of major learning objectives identified by teachers at MHS. I appreciate parental support for ensuring students have a good breakfast each morning, spend time studying after school for their scheduled finals and ensuring students are in bed at the reasonable hour of 10 pm or sooner each night - with no electronic distractions such as phones or computers.
At MHS we are focused on student success and we appreciate your support for your son or daughter. Our finals schedule is listed below, probably a good item to post to the "hub" of information in your home - most likely the refrigerator door :) As a final piece, we would appreciate your support in communicating to your son or daughter that finals are important.
